Inside my Sketchbook - January Dump
As a mom, it's easier to tote around a single item without having to worry about cleaning up messy art supplies, paints drying up, missing that one colored pencil I need, etc. So I currently do all of my doodling on my tablet.
I've never really done this before (show unfinished/unrefined art). Here's a look at some of the things in my pad this month. Some of it is Mish related, some of it isn't, and a lot of it will never be more than these few sketches on a page.
I've struggled this month with navigating living in this current hellscape that is American facisim and as a result my art & Mishes have taken a hit. It feels like a betrayal to draw and create whimsy with everything that's going on. But at the same time I know that art is resistance. Artists see and record all, and people need glimmers of joy.
