The only costume mishap story I have that’s funnier is from back in high school. I was a teen mom and the group of us were known around campus to be like boy scouts, always prepared. One of the regular students came to our ‘mom lounge’ about an hour before the Halloween party, the comfy onesies were just starting to be really popular as costumes and she had caught a loose string in the seam on a chair in class and then pulled it to try to snap it. Basically her whole thigh/ cheek would be out of she didn’t hold it closed. We pulled together a basic sewing kit and ton of safety pins so with a little makeup and hair change we changed her into a punk rock unicorn instead of a girly/fairy one. It was cool to work together and also get new friends (and good press) for the group of us moms
I tried to do a day of the dead themed costume with my puppy one year. Bought him a little Sombrero and everything. He HATED it 🤣 Managed to put it on him one time. After that if I even touched it he hid and gave me.the stank eye 👁
Another costume mishap we had was I wanted to a power ranger when I was a kid. My parents didn’t understand and got me an electrical worker costume because they thought I wanted to dress up like I worked at the power plant.
